Shipping & Returns


American Workspace Inc. services customers throughout North America. Because of this and the many shipping variables that are inclusive of the products we provide, we must quote each order individually for shipping.

We leverage our volume of shipping with our freight carrier partners to provide the best pricing possible to our customers. We also have multiple strategic manufacturing partners  to assist in reducing the shipping cost all while maintaining shipping quality.

Shipping Cost Confirmation

Shipping information with estimated cost and lead time for your items will be emailed to you after you submit your order. No orders are finalized prior to shipping cost being sent and approved by you.

How Shipping Cost is Calculated

Freight classes are a motor freight industry standard which classifies freight according to weight and volume of space taken in the truck. Shipping charges are determined by the freight class. Should you wish to get your own freight quotation, you will need to provide your carrier with the freight class to obtain a proper quotation. Please contact us for more information.

If your purchase is less than 75 pounds, and it is not over 5 feet, it will most likely be shipped via UPS, FED-X, or other small package delivery service. If your purchase is over 75 pounds, or large, it will be shipped by a freight company of our, or the manufacturers, choice. The most cost efficient way is to ship  products to a business loading dock; delivery to a residence with a lift-gate will incur additional fees. You may also choose your own carrier and means of shipment.

For an accurate freight quote, the purchase bill of materials and the ship-to information must be in final form. We will need to know the ship-to address, business or residential delivery and if a lift-gate is needed. Once we get a freight quote you will be notified for approval before we actually queue your order for production or delivery. If you do not approve our freight estimate, your order will be held up pending shipping resolution.

FOB Point

Each product has a typical FOB point. FOB points indicate where the product will typically ship from. Ownership and product responsibility transfers to the buyer at the time of shipping from the FOB point.


Returns for Storage, Workspace, and Mobile Cabinet products are in accordance with the Terms and Conditions. In summary, products can only be returned with prior approval and may be subject to a 25% restocking fee based upon list price and not necessarily the price you actually paid for the item. All Built-to-Order products are generally non-returnable. OTHER RESTRICTIONS MAY APPLY.
